Using the compliance checker in the dashboard

Opening the compliance checker

The compliance checker continuously reviews your schedules against applicable labor law. You reach it via the main navigation:

Go to Compliance β†’ Overview (/dashboard/compliance).

Understanding the traffic-light system

Shiftdesk uses three color codes to prioritize findings:

  • Green β€” no findings, no action needed.
  • Orange (warning) β€” limit nearly reached, e.g. 9.5 h of working time or 11.5 h between shifts. Review recommended.
  • Red (error) β€” a statutory breach, e.g. > 10 h of working time, missing break, < 11 h rest period. Address immediately.

Interpreting and resolving findings

Each message in the compliance checker contains:

  1. Employee and the affected shift
  2. Rule concerned (e.g. "Β§5 ArbZG β€” rest period not met")
  3. Actual value vs. target value (e.g. "9 h instead of 11 h")
  4. Direct link to the shift in the schedule
Click the direct link, adjust the shift (move the start, shorten it, assign a different employee) and save. The checker updates automatically.

Filters and export

Using the filter bar you can filter by period, Location, Team, or severity. For audits or external advisors, the report can be exported as CSV or PDF.

Note

The compliance checker reviews the rules of the ArbZG as well as the configured contract types. Industry-specific collective agreements must be configured separately. When in doubt, consult a lawyer or tax advisor β€” Shiftdesk does not replace legal advice.
