Mapping wage types to DATEV numbers

Mapping wage types to DATEV numbers

So that your payroll office can smoothly import the Shiftdesk data into DATEV LODAS or Lohn & Gehalt, you need to map each Shiftdesk wage type to a DATEV wage type number. This one-time setup saves you effort every month afterward.

The 10 standard wage types

Shiftdesk works with the following wage types:

  1. Base wage hours β€” regular working time
  2. Overtime β€” hours above target time
  3. Night surcharge β€” 20:00–06:00
  4. Sunday surcharge
  5. Public holiday surcharge
  6. Saturday surcharge (optional)
  7. On-call time
  8. Vacation
  9. Sick leave (continued pay)
  10. Other / manual

Setting up the mapping

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Payroll β†’ Wage type mapping.
  2. Choose the target system: DATEV LODAS or DATEV Lohn & Gehalt.
  3. Enter the DATEV wage type number for each wage type (e.g. 100 for base wage, 110 for overtime).
  4. Save with Save mapping.
> Note: The wage type numbers depend on your advisor number setup. When in doubt, ask your tax advisor for the valid list.

Cost centers per location

Optionally, you can assign a cost center to each location, which is passed in the DATEV export with every booking line. This way your tax advisor sees immediately which hours are attributable to which branch.

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Locations.
  2. Open the location and enter the number under Cost center (e.g. 4100).

Testing the mapping

Via Test export, you can generate a trial month in DATEV format and send it to your payroll office before you start the first real run. This way you find mapping gaps early.

Versioning changes

Changes to the mapping are logged with a date. Months that have already been exported remain unchanged β€” new mappings only affect future exports.

Second target system

If you also serve Lexware or another system in parallel, you can create a second mapping profile and choose it during export.
