Saving and sharing reports as favorites

Saving reports as favorites

If you need the same report every week, you don't want to reconfigure it each time. With favorites you save filters, format, and aggregation once — and open the report with a single click from then on.

Creating a favorite

  1. Go to Reports and configure the report you want (type, period, filters, format).
  2. Click the star icon at the top right.
  3. Give it a descriptive name, e.g. Payroll journal Berlin (monthly).
  4. Choose the visibility:
- Private — only you see the favorite - Shared — all users with report access see it
  1. Click Save.

Opening favorites

  • In the Reports area, click My favorites at the top.
  • Choose the favorite — all filters are set immediately.
  • You can click Export right away.

Private or shared?

VisibilityWhen it makes sense
PrivatePersonal analyses, your own experiments
SharedTeam standards (e.g. Weekly report Service), recurring tax-advisor reports
> Note: When opening a shared favorite, you only see the data you are authorized to see. Shared means: the same filter, not the same data access.

Tips

  • Use clear names: Payroll journal March is worse than Payroll journal monthly (previous month), because the date is dynamic.
  • Use relative periods: If you choose last month instead of a fixed date, the favorite stays current without maintenance.
  • Tidy up: Delete unused favorites regularly to keep the list clear.
> Example: Create the favorite DATEV export previous month with the format DATEV LODAS and the period last month. After each month-end, a single click is enough. More about the export under DATEV export.
