Time and absences in the app

Employees record their working time directly on the smartphone, keep an eye on their hours account, and submit leave or sick notices β€” all without web access.

Clocking in and out

On the home screen, the app shows the next planned shift and a large Clock in button. Clocking is available if your company uses clock-in tracking (mode Clock or Hybrid). In Plan mode, the planned times are used β€” then there are no clock buttons. More on the modes: Recording modes: plan / clock / hybrid.

Viewing hours and balance

Under Hours, the employee sees:

  • their time entries per day (clocked or manual)
  • target/actual and the weekly balance (plus or minus hours)
  • which entries are already approved and which are still pending
This makes it transparent which hours are already in payroll preparation. Background: Hours account: target, actual, balance.

Requesting an absence

  1. In the Leave/Absence area, tap Submit request.
  2. Choose the period and type (vacation, sick, unpaid, …), optionally with a note.
  3. Submit β€” the request goes to the manager for approval.
The employee sees their leave balance (entitlement, taken, remaining) and any blocked periods (e.g. company holidays). More on this: Requesting and approving leave and Understanding the leave account.

Tip

It is best to record sick notices via the app right away β€” the manager is notified immediately and can adjust the planning.
