Copying a schedule week
Copying a schedule week
If your schedule is similar from week to week, you save a lot of time by copying a whole week and only adjusting the exceptions afterwards.
Step by step
- Go to Schedule and choose the week view.
- Navigate to the week you want to use as a template.
- Click Actions in the top right, then Copy week.
- Choose the target week in the date picker.
- Confirm with Copy.
What happens during this
- All shifts of the source week are carried over into the target week.
- The copied shifts have the status Draft, even if the original was published.
- Existing shifts in the target week are not overwritten but added to.
- Absences and approved vacation are taken into account: shifts on affected days are flagged and you need to rework them.
Reworking
After copying, check:
- Conflicts with absences or vacation
- ArbZG warnings from changed follow-on shifts (see ArbZG warnings)
- Minimum staffing per day (see Minimum staffing)
Tip
For recurring patterns, recurring shifts are even more efficient because they carry forward automatically.
