Recurring shifts (series)
Recurring shifts (series)
When an employee regularly works the same shift, you create a series. Shiftdesk then generates the individual shifts automatically for the chosen period.
Creating a series
- Go to Schedule and click an empty cell.
- In the dialog, turn on the Repeat toggle.
- Configure the series:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Frequency | Daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly |
| Weekdays | For weekly repetition: Mon to Sun individually selectable |
| Start date | First date of the series |
| End date | Last date or "no end" |
| Template | Optionally a shift template |
- Confirm with Create series.
Individual exceptions
You can adjust or delete any single shift in the series without touching the whole series.
- Click the affected shift in the schedule.
- Change the time, break or note and save with Change only this shift.
Changing or ending a series
- Open a shift in the series and click Edit series.
- Choose whether the change applies from this shift onward or to the entire series.
- To end it, set an end date or choose End series from today.
Notes
- Existing individual exceptions are kept when the series is ended.
- In case of conflicts with vacation or absence, affected days are automatically left out and flagged in the schedule.
- After creating the series, check ArbZG conformity; see ArbZG warnings.
